Koronadal City, South Cotabato – To celebrate the accomplishments of the Regional Development Council XII for the calendar year 2019, and to strengthen the bond among members, the Council held its Fellowship Night at the Acacia Hall, Cinco Niñas, GenSan Drive, Koronadal City right after the conduct of its 68th Regular Quarterly Meeting. The event, which was held three years after the previous one bore the theme “Alone, we can do so little. Together, we can do so much.”
Indeed, much was done as representatives and RDC Members showcased their talents and filled the night with entertainment. The singing of the Ambisyon Natin 2040 Song was led by the RDC Week Ambisyon 2040 Song Rendition Contest winners from the Department of Education (DepED XII) Choir. This was followed by a stunning performance from the winner of the National Music Competitions for Young Artists (NAMCYA) Rondalla competition, the Tunog Kwerdas of the General Santos City National High School. The group emerged victorious over eleven (11) other rondalla competitors from all over the Philippines.
During dinner, Zumba instructors from the Department of Education graced the night with their dance number. The party went on with representatives from the RDC XII’s four Sectoral Committees singing along with the band and filled the hall with their songs. Land Transportation Office (LTO XII) Regional Director Macario Gonzaga, Private Sector Representatives Richlie Lyndon Magtulis and Rolando Doria, sung their songs of choice.
The fun went on as RDC Members listened and danced to the music of the award-winning Bureau of Fire Protection XII Band. The night culminated with the Council Members singing and dancing to a set of upbeat melody from the Department of Agriculture Band. It was a fitting finale for a year of hard work for all Council members. The fellowship further cemented the members’ camaraderie and partnership in pursuing the development of SOCCSKSARGEN.
